SACRED HOME This piece sits in Persia (modern day Iran / Afghanistan) where Rumi was born and grew up. Known and loved worldwide 7 centuries after his death for his beautiful mystical poetry, the Persian poet is revered by many as the founder of the Mevlevi Order of Sufis – a mystical offshoot of Islam primarily in Turkey today – known as the whirling dervishes. They twirl themselves into an ecstatic place of inner stillness, bliss, and connection with the Divine.
