The Artist
Barbara did not realize herself as an artist until she first started exploring drawing with the AppleWorks program. From there she moved on to Illustrator and Photoshop. And in the last couple of years she had added InDesign to her technology repertoire. Barbara has taken photos for more than 40 years but it is only in the last three years that she has recognized herself as a photographer. She has several published articles as well as a book and she also served as a manuscript reader for Butterworth-Heinemann and Barrett-Koehler publishers. In addition to Barbara’s writing and photography on this site, you can find much more on her other site, Barbara Shipka. Among what you will find there are her free-form mandalas called In-Visible Meditations, crop circle meditation videos called Shapes of Harmony, and her several collections of Healing Stones.
